Promptify uses a deterministic JavaScript expansion engine, not a hosted AI service. Your idea is combined with category-specific roles, constraints, deliverables, and model guidance to create a reusable master prompt.
No API keys, backend, account, or subscriptions are needed. Target model labels control formatting only: Promptify does not contact ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or Midjourney. Copy the result into your chosen AI tool to use it.
Your history and preferences are saved in this browser’s localStorage. They do not sync across devices. Clearing site data or using a private browsing session can remove them. Download important prompts as text files.
Frequently asked questions
Is Promptify actually free?
Yes. Core prompt generation runs in your browser and has no usage quotas or API costs. A separate AI tool you paste a prompt into may have its own pricing.
Does optimizing a prompt generate an AI answer?
No. It generates structured instructions for another AI model. The local engine cannot research topics, execute code, or guarantee model output quality.
Can I use Midjourney for a development prompt?
Midjourney is an image-generation tool. Choose Image & UI Generation for visual prompts. For a nonvisual category, the engine includes guidance to use a text-based LLM instead.
